Telhio Credit Union Partners with Hockey & Hounds Donates $8,320 in Support for Animal Adoption
Over the past year, Telhio Credit Union has provided $8,320 in support for a unique animal adoption effort in partnership with 97.1 FM.
Bringing together Anthony Rothman of 97.1 FM The Fan Sports Radio in Columbus and Columbus Blue Jackets Head Coach Brad Larsen to showcase, on air, shelter animals in Ohio, the weekly Wednesday radio segment, Hockey and Hounds, is sponsored by Telhio Credit Union. The show has inspired countless central Ohioans to support pet adoptions, community volunteering, and charitable efforts.
Rothman, also a Volunteer Humane Agent in Franklin County, started this segment with former Blue Jackets Coach John Tortorella. Continued with Coach Larsen, the two present the latest insider information on Columbus' Pro Hockey Team and spend several minutes sharing updates on adoptable rescue animals, as well as updates on success stories from previous animals featured on air.
"Finding ways to support our community is a priority at Telhio," said Jessica Bing, Chief Communication Officer at Telhio Credit Union. "That includes ensuring that the animals in shelters are supported until they can find their forever homes. Seeing the results of our partnership with Hockey & Hounds first-hand has been so rewarding - and we are grateful to have been able to support this effort over the years."
The segment has also inspired an apparel line with the help of local company whereimfrom.com. Through sale of Hockey & Hounds shirts, sweatshirts, and hats, directly supports animals in need in Ohio.
